Single Barrel vs Double Barrel

A single barrel cake is one standard-tier cake with two or three layers, while a double barrel cake stacks two tiers of the same size on top of each other with a support board in between, making it twice as tall. The double barrel design gives a more dramatic, elegant look and serves more people.

One Tier VS Two Tier

A single tier cake is one level with two or three layers of cake, while a single barrel cake is a taller version of the same size tier—essentially two single tiers stacked together with support in between for extra height.

A single tier versus a double tier refers to the number of stacked levels—double tier cakes have two separate cakes of different sizes stacked on top of each other, often for a more traditional or decorative look.
